Chrisolyn™ is a new, striped, red Jonathan that originated in Missouri. Chrisolyn™ is a true Jonathan with crisp, tart, flesh and excellent storage characteristics. It is attractively striped and maintains that pattern as it finishes to a cherry red color with darker striping.
The color develops three weeks ahead of other Jonathans, with typical Jonathan characteristics, and ripens with other Jonathan varieties. Chrisolyn™ has been storage and market tested by Peters Orchards in Waverly, MO; one of the country’s largest shippers of Jonathan.
